Chip production
Professional size reduction technology for the production of chips from
different types of wood is at the beginning of particleboard production. The
quality of the chips determines the quality of the panel. Anything neglected at
this stage of the process cannot be made up later on.
For this reason we offers the complete range of machines for the
production of high-quality surface and core layer chips. With technology for
the screening, cleaning, secondary crushing, storing, dosing, sifting, and, of
course, chipping and chip transportation, the production of high-quality
surface and core layer chips is guaranteed.
Features, Function
Chip screening systems, perfectly tailored to the plant‘s capacity, divide
the material flow into three fractions – fines, useable chips, and oversize
chips. The separation in fractions leads to a very efficient complete process.
Thus, only chips that can be turned into optimal flakes will be supplied to the
knife-ring flaker.
By means of high-performing dosing screws the chips are fed into the
knife-ring flakers. The number of used flakers depends on the actual demand of
flakes. This means the flakers can be loaded with the optimal amount of chips
and therefore be used most efficiently.
Fines do not enter the knife-ring flakers. As a result knife-ring flakers
are not only relieved but also protected from wear because abrasive dirt
particles (e.g., silicates) in the fines are kept away from the knives of the
knife-ring flakers.
Oversize chips are reduced to the correct size by means of a secondary
shredder and afterwards returned to the flaking process.
Extraction and transport systems, flexibly adjusted to the flakers, provide
the possibility to disconnect individual machines for maintenance reasons.
