Depither - Type PMS "Centurion"
The Pallmann Depither, series PMS "Centurion" is used for depithing of sugar cane bagasse. The retained bagasse fibers are used for the production of cellulose, the production of fiber boards or for the production of particleboards. Furthermore, the depither can also be used for the preparation of other vegetable raw materials. The machine is designed for the wet preparation, moist preparation or dry preparation processes.
Characteristics, Function
- The material is fed from the top
- The rotor is vertically arranged with bearings on both sides and equipped with hammers that can be used on both sides
- The hammers are free swinging and armoured at both sides of the tip
- Material preparation and separation of the pith from the fiber is performed by means of impact and friction
- Longer fibers are retained by a screen while the pith and the fines are discharged through a screen with the air flow
- Pith and fibers are discharged and transported separately
